Rumblin Tum Thanks Islanders For Honesty After Payment Problems

A local food van has praised the Manx community after every customer paid up despite card machines going down at the Ramsey Firework Display.

The Rumblin Tum, which serves outdoor grub using local butchers and bakers, was at the rescheduled display on Friday, December 6, an event that still drew big crowds north despite the weather delays and logistical hiccups last month.

But when internet issues wiped out their card payments, the team had little choice but to hand over the food and trust people to settle up later. And they did. Every single one of them.

Posting on Facebook, Rumblin Tum said: ‘We gave the customers their food orders and our bank details to pay later when home.

‘ALL 6 paid before midnight the same night. This is why I love this island ‘

Wholesome good Manx behaviour. Faith in humanity restored. 10/10.
