Students’ Charity Raffle
The staff and students of Maughold House at Ballakermeen High School have been very busy this term supporting their chosen charities; A Little Piece of Hope, The Manx Wildlife Trust and the Red Cross Ukraine Appeal.
They have held Hop Tu Naa and Christmas bake sales, and have organised the school’s first hot chocolate bar, with grateful thanks to the Creamery, Laxey Kitchen and Shoprite for their support. So far this academic year they have raised over £300 for the charities.
Now, Maughold House are proud to bring you a one of a kind Christmas raffle called “A Manx Christmas” to showcase the best of Manx products, and in doing so prove that Christmas really can be bought locally without any compromise. They have a range of amazing, local festive items, foods, gifts and experiences demonstrating the full breadth of what is on offer on our island.
Mrs Shelton, Maughold House Manager said; “We wanted to really inspire people to spend their money closer to home over the festive period and take pride in buying Manx. We wanted to support our hard working local businesses and believe that championing local Manx products in is a great way to achieve this, putting them at the front of consumers’ minds as we approach the busy festive period.”
The draw will take place at noon on December 20. All proceeds will be donated to the Maughold House charities; A Little Piece of Hope, The Manx Wildlife Trust and the Red Cross Ukraine Appeal.
