Coastguard Helicopter in Late Night Beach Transfer
Police officers closed the road at the bottom of Summer Hill.
A Coastguard helicopter has landed in heavy fog on Douglas Beach, where it was met by an ambulance.
Police officers and Ambulance crews were on hand to meet the helicopter, with officers closing the road at the bottom of Summer Hill.

The helicopter had flown to the island from North Wales and landed, in heavy fog, on Douglas beach.
With the noise having woken, or at least attracted the attention of scores of residents, a crowd gathered a person was transferred from the ambulance to the helicopter, which departed some time later.
After leaving the island, the helicopter headed across the Irish Sea, landing at a Liverpool hospital.
No further details have been released about the person and we ask our readers not to speculate on their identity or condition.
