Jack completed the 14-week training course in Washington, Tyne and Wear
The island’s fire chief has congratulated a new recruit on completing his training and joining the Fire & Rescue Service family.
Jack Roberts successfully completed the 14-week training course in Washington, Tyne and Wear.
All trainees underwent weekly firefighting drills, talks from the Prevention and Education team, written exams and a rigorous fitness regime to ensure they are prepared to protect the public.
Chief Fire Officer Mark Christian said: ‘I would like to take the opportunity to thank CFO Chris Lowther at Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service and all the team at Barmstonmere Training Centre who have put together a fantastic course for the trainees.’
