Police Confirm Man’s Death After Onchan Crash

Police have confirmed a 29-year-old man has died following a road traffic collision in Onchan.

Jordan Thomas suffered fatal injuries in the incident which occurred at approximately 7.45pm on Sunday February 25 in the area of Harbour Road in Onchan.

Temporary Chief Inspector Craig, leading the enquiry, said: ‘Enquiries into this investigation are continuing and we thank the public for their assistance.

‘My sincere condolences are with family and friends of Mr Thomas at this difficult time. This investigation is ongoing and I would urge people to refrain from speculation as to the circumstances of the collision. I can confirm that a person has been charged in regards to this matter. I would ask the privacy of all is respected at this time.’

Police have asked that the public refrain from speculating as to the causation of the collision at this time.

They added: ‘As the investigation continues, we ask that any witnesses who were in the area of Harbour Road, Onchan on Sunday 25th February 2024 between 7pm and 8pm, who feel they may have any information which may assist us and who are yet to be spoken to by Police, to please make contact with us at Police Headquarters on (01624) 631212 quoting reference number 97/2072/24, or alternatively via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be given anonymously.’
