Police Dogs Ready for Duty
This comes at the end of eight weeks of what the Dog Unit said was ‘wet and muddy’ training.
Two police dogs have completed their training, with one due to enter service for the first time.

Passing his annual licence, PD Umbro successfully passed his yearly licence and will continue on with his service across the island.
Joining him in the unit is PD Simba, who has today now lost his T for training and is now a fully fledged police dog with his first shift on duty next weekend.
That does mean however that PD Oscar officially retires after 5 years of service and can settle into pet life at home with his handler.
The Dog Unit said: ‘Many thanks to those that have helped us get to the good results today and special thanks to Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Dog Unit for lending us one of their instructors for a couple of days in order to conduct the final assessments.’
