Crews Deal with Vehicle Fire
The vehicle itself is parked in the car park behind the Village Walk
A vehicle fire closed part of Stoney Road in Onchan this evening.
Firefighters and police are on the scene and have shut the road from its junction with Avondale Road.
The vehicle itself is parked in the car park behind the Village Walk, where Arg Beiyn Vets, New Cod on the Block and Dominos is based.
Station officer David Dallimore said: ‘Upon arrival crews were met with a car that was well alight and the incident commander quickly dispatched a breathing apparatus team who extinguished the fire using a high pressure hose reel before it could spread to nearby vehicles.
‘No one was hurt or injured at the incident and crews were in attendance for approx. 45 mins.’
