Searches Continue for Missing Jamie
Extensive searches are still continuing in the Ramsey and Maughold area by specialist trained personnel.
Police have reissued an appeal for any information that may help find Jamie Barrow, who was last seen on Sunday night.
Extensive searches are still continuing in the Ramsey and Maughold area by specialist trained personnel.
A specially trained officer is currently supporting Jamie’s family of whilst the Police continue to identify any lines of enquiry that will assist in finding him.
A statement said: ‘We have previously asked for members of the public to be vigilant and particularly look out for any quantity of white paint as we believe Jamie had approximately six large tins of white paint in his possession when he was last seen at 10.50pm on Sunday 17th September 2023.
‘We would encourage anyone who may have any information regarding this or comes across any discarded tins of paint, to contact Police.
‘Whilst we are asking the public to refrain from assisting with the open area searches at this time in order to prevent any harm or danger to any person and to allow the trained professionals to continue their searches, we would like to ask anyone with any outbuildings or unoccupied properties in the Ramsey or Maughold area to assist us by searching them.
‘We understand that some people may not feel comfortable in doing this themselves so if anyone has any concerns about any outbuilding or unoccupied property, please contact the Police as we can advise and assist with regards to those concerns. If anyone has any information or sightings of any person sleeping rough or camping in open areas within the north of the island please can we ask that you make contact with Police.’
