Nicci and Andrew’s daughter Marnie has a rare, life-threatening condition that brings the pair into disagreement about Marnie’s right to die. This four-part series follows the legal battle that ensues with Marnie’s doctors.

From what I’ve seen this really isn’t for the faint of heart, purely because of the emotional weight it carries. But it starts tonight at 9pm on BBC One.

Tell Me Everything

This is a provocative coming of age drama – I know what you’re thinking, we don’t have enough of those…

Tell Me Everything explores the lives of a group of young people dealing with everything from mental health struggles to exploring their sexualities and experimenting with relationships, drugs and fashion.

It airs weekly on ITV2 on Tuesday at 10pm. Catch up on ITVX.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer

A teenager who slays vampires while trying to balance schoolwork and love interests? Sign me up.

Buffy is new at Sunnydale High and is far from your average teenager, as her new best friends Willow and Xander quickly learn. She is one in a long line of young women chosen by fate to battle the world’s evil forces. Though she is hesitant at first, Buffy eventually learns to embrace her calling as a vampire slayer.

This will forever be one of my favourite shows for many reasons, and I can’t believe I only gave it a go just under two years ago. For Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the viewer needs to fully immerse themselves in the craziness of this plot and these characters. In fact, some of my favourite episodes come in the form of the goofiest villains and stories.

Maybe try and forgive the special effects. It did first come out in 1997 after all.

The IT Crowd

‘Have you tried turning it off and on again? Is it definitely plugged in?’

Jen starts a new job as head of IT at Reynholm Industries in Central London, managing Moss and Roy, the department’s two other team members. The pair can only be described as socially inept and higher up management is… well, just hilarious.

It’s hard to describe this series in a precise and accurate way because of the vast differences in each episode. Just trust me when I say it’s funny and you should give it a try. All three stars have brilliant comedic chemistry and timing, plus other actors also get their chance to shine, such as Matt Berry and Noel Fielding.
