DoI Trying to Open Mountain
The closure orders in place are until midday tomorrow.
The Mountain Road, Tholt Y Will Road and Beinn Y Phott Road are all still closed due to ice.
The closure orders in place are until midday tomorrow (Wednesday).
The DoI said: ‘We have staff working on the Mountain today to try and get the route from Barrule Park, Ramsey to Creg Ny Baa in a fit state to open.
T’he state of the road will be re-assessed at regular intervals and as soon as conditions improve enough it will be reopened, (this may well be before the current order expires). As we are focussing work on the man road it is likely that the Beinn Y Phott & Tholt Y Will Roads may have to stay closed until some time after the Mountain Road opens.’
