Police Thank Plantation Litterbug

Police in the north of the island have thanked the person who dumped a load of rubbish in Axnfell plantation.

That may seem odd, but the cops says that the person who used the plantation as a tip left some evidence that will identify them.

Said person has been told to ‘expect a visit today’.

The Northern Neighbourhood Policing Team added: ‘Alternatively you could go back and move it!!! (we will still come and see you) Our glens and plantations are not the place for dumping rubbish.’

The fine for such tipping can be up to £5,000.
