The Mountain Road remains closed tonight and an amber weather is warning in place until tomorrow afternoon.
Road surface temperatures will readily fall below freezing across the island this evening, leading to ice or frost forming island wide, due to road surfaces being wet from earlier showers.
There is also a continuing risk of wintry showers, which may lead to some slight accumulations in places.
Temperatures will be slow to recover during Sunday.
Meanwhile Bus Vannin has provided the following update for bus services.
Due to current road conditions, buses are unable to serve the following areas:
*Snaefell Rd & Tynwald Rd Willaston (buses diverting via Watterson Lane & Ballanard Rd)
*Ballachrink Estate (buses are departing Royal Ave at the timetabled Ballachrink shop time)
*Top of Anagh Cour – (buses are diverting from Stevenson Way direct to Pulrose
*Pulrose Crescents – (buses are serving Springfield Rd & Alder Rd only)
*York Rd – (buses are diverting via Woodbourne Rd & Ballaquayle Rd in both directions)
At present all other services are running as normal
