After last week’s dramatic scenes which saw Dean Pinnington rescue a point at the death for FC Isle of Man, they return to the bowl for the visit of Irlam.

The visitors are in 18th place, six points behind Paul Jones’ side, but have only played 23 games to the Ravens 29.

This is actually the third time the sides have been due to play each other this season, with both previous attempts to play at Irlam postponed.

The last fixture between the two on Manx soil (or astro) saw Furo Davies set the Ravens on their way to a 4-1 win as goals from Ste Whitley, Jack McVey and Mikey Williams sealed the win.

Looking ahead to this week’s game. the Ravens have lost four of their last six, drawing and winning one, while Irlam have won one and drawn two of their last half dozen games.

Turning to the squads, Dan Simpson, who suffered a fractured leg last week, is replaced by Onchan’s Tom Creer, while Jack McVeeeeey comes in for Ryan Burns who is unavailable.

Elsewhere, Phil Kelly, who impressed last time out, looks set to keep his spot at the heart of the defence, while Charlie Higgins will be hoping to start after coming off the bench to set up Pinnington’s equaliser last week.
