Kendal Town has thanked the island for its. admittedly longer than intended, hospitality.

The final two Kendal fans made it back to the UK yesterday, having enjoyed a pro-longed stay after Storm Isha saw flights cancelled.

Having played out a 1-1 draw on Saturday, the Kendal Town team and fans found their journeys home cancelled and while the players managed to get home on Monday, their fans have had to sit out to wait for openings on flights.

Kendal said: ‘With our remaining two fans finally home, we’d like to say a massive thank you to all who travelled to the Isle of Man to support the Mintcakes!
