Ravens Thank Islanders for Kendal Support

FC Isle of Man has thanked the local businesses and individuals for their help whilst Kendal Town had a longer than planned stay due to storm Isha.
Kendal’s players and coaches left the island on Monday evening, but some fans are still on the island after Storm Isha led to swathes of flights and sailings being cancelled.
Despite the cancellation, the Ravens said that its travel partner Loganair kept in touch with the Kendal on a regular basis and ‘put them up in accommodation in the south of the island before ensuring the club got home at the earliest point possible’.
The club added: ‘Several members of the close knit community that all follow the Ravens offered for fans of Kendal FC that were struggling for accommodation to stay with them. Director Lee Dixon ensured that the medical needs of the Kendal fans were met. Our brilliant secretary Andy Varnom liaised with Kendal to help them in anyway the club could, including going to visit them on Sunday evening at their accommodation.
Although the team being stuck here wasn’t an ideal scenario for anyone, it truly showed just how amazing the community on the Isle of Man is, thank you!’
