Plan for 31 Homes in North

Published

on

The former Dale Nurseries site in Andreas is once again the subject of a plan for new housing.

An application by Keldevelopments has been submitted, two year since its last attempt to develop the site.

The planning committee approved plans for 21 homes on the site in August 2021, before that was appealed by the DoI on grounds of increased flood risk. No ruling has ever been made on that appeal.

If this application is approved, the 31 homes would be split into two three-bed affordable homes and two two-bed affordable homes.

There would also be six three bed terrace houses, two three-bed semi-detached houses, four three semi-detached houses with garages, one three bed detached house with a garage, two three bed link detached houses with garages, six three bed semi-detached houses and two four-bed bungalows.

The Da Vinci Code made more sense than all that.

In its application, Kel Developments said: ‘The majority of proposed houses have been located to the northern boundary of the site which is furthest away from Oatlands Road so as to be less visually intrusive when viewed from the highway. The buildings have also been sited so as to create a varied street scene with no fixed building line, buildings set at right angles to each other and a variety of building forms including terraces, semi-detached link-detached and detached dwellings and bungalows.’
