Plans Unveiled for Car Stacker
It would be built on the Isle of Man Business Park.
An application has been made to build what is believed to be the island’s first car stacker.
The application, submitted by Wilson Consulting Limited acting as the agent for Lanz Investments Limited, is for the car park outside Park House Nursery, near the House & Plough on the Isle of Man Business Park.
Arising from a prior application which raised concerns over the number of parking spaces, the application would, if approved, result in a net gain of 13 parking spaces.
The cover letter from Wilson Consulting said: ‘The Applicant intends to incentivise staff to participate in a cycle-to-work scheme, but they acknowledge that participation is voluntary and cannot determine how many members of staff will actually participate; therefore, if they are able to provide additional parking spaces for staff, that will remove pressure on the shared spaces in the car park, which are used on a first come, first served basis, thus helping to alleviate current issues.’
