New Toy 

Port St Mary RNLI has a new lifeboat, the DClass Frank Martin was delivered this week and will serve the station alongside the all-weather Trent class boat, the Gough Ritchie II.

The station said: ‘All the crew are excited to have some training and see what it can do… but for now… it’s nicely tucked up in the boathouse.’

Stu’s on the Buses

If you you think you saw an MHK driving a bus today, you’re not wrong, Stu Peters (Middle) has been out ‘touring some of the different bus stops and estates around Douglas, Willaston and Onchan to learn of the challenges we face in improving the service for wheelchair and (eventually) mobility scooter users’.

He said they even let him have a go driving the bus, might come in handy when the next shortage of drivers comes along.

If the Cap Fits

The Manx FA is appealing for more info about a former footballer. The FA said it received a cap through the post which dates from 1923/24 and is believed to have been worn by a Mr Joe Moore.

The FA said: ‘ We’ve been sent this cap, awarded nearly 100 years ago, which was found in a loft somewhere in the UK. (Sender unknown). The name inside is Joe Moore.
