Sprintfest to Return for TT24

Ramsey’s Sprintfest will return for TT24, after commissioners gave their backing.

The event features live bands playing in the town’s Market Place square.

More than 3,000 people attended this year, with the event held between June 3 and 5, but it has proved controversial with businesses criticising a loss of parking spaces in the town during TT.

Commissioner and organiser Juan McGuinness said: ‘Absolutely delighted that Ramsey Town Commissioners voted to hold Sprintfest again next June in Market Place. Now the hard work starts to make sure it’s better than ever next year!’

The bill for the 2023 event has previously been reported as being between about £12,000 and £13,000, but also included DfE funding.
