New Mayor for the City

Douglas Borough Council has selected its mayor for the forthcoming 2023-24 municipal year.

During a special meeting of the council, Councillor Natalie Byron was selected as mayor for the municipal year ending Tuesday, May 7, 2024.

She will signify her intention to accept the office, if confirmed, at the annual council meeting on Wednesday, May 10, 2023.

Described as a ‘dedicated councillor’ for Douglas Central, she was first elected to the local authority at a by-election in 2016 before being re-elected in 2021.
