Innovation Challenge 2025 – Meet the Winners

Published

on

Digital Isle of Man’s Innovation Challenge returned in 2025 with a fresh cohort of ambitious innovators tackling real-world issues across finance, sustainability, and AI.

And after months of preparation, four companies were named winners at the event last week.

Here’s a closer look at the winning innovators…

Cleantech Winner – Lnk Technologies

London-based Lnk Technologies impressed judges with a platform that helps buildings reduce energy use, carry out predictive maintenance, and reward sustainable behaviour. Co-founders Audrey Roos and Ranjit Singh described the win as their “first ever award” and a moment of validation after years of development.

“The Isle of Man moves faster than the UK when it comes to action,” Singh noted. “It’s a great place to springboard global solutions.”

FinTech Winner – Binderr

Binderr simplifies compliance processes for financial institutions, offering a platform to manage KYC/KYB checks and connect with verified service providers through a commission-based marketplace model.

If you’re sat there thinking ‘what on earth does any of that mean?’, you’re not alone!

Watch their interview with journalist Sadie Gilbert, where founders Edmund Hatton and Jonathan Daglish explain their platform in plain terms, reflect on their win and hint at plans for a night out at the legendary ‘Saddleoke’!

Biosphere Winner – Big Bower

Big Bower helps turn product ideas into a sustainable reality by connecting creators with manufacturers. Their AI-driven platform takes ideas, like a menopause health brand built by a pharmacist, and develops production-ready specifications.

Co-founders Martin and Michael said the Challenge helped sharpen their offering and unlock early-stage investment. “We built this to help others bring meaningful, eco-conscious products to market. This win will help us scale.”

Date & AI Winner – Tandem

Tandem is reimagining how children use technology through a personalised reading and storytelling app. It encourages kids to create content that reflects their interests and cultural identity, while helping parents track their child’s development.

Founder Rob Hughes said the award is “recognition that technology for children can be more human, more creative, and far more impactful than passive screen time.”

Congratulations to all of this year’s winners, and everyone who took part in the Innovation Challenge 2025!
