Back to The Bowl – Frank’s Back!

The new year sees the return of a familiar face for FC Isle of Man as Frank Jones returns to the side for the first time since his injury in July 2021.

Also returning to the fold is fellow long-term injury absentee Ronan McDonnell.

Club captain Jones suffered an ACL injury in the Ravens’ first ever league game away at Maine Road and his return will bring a welcome boost to the side, which has been gaining momentum in recent weeks with improved performances.

Monday’s game against Burscough, which was due to be played in September but was postponed due to the death of Queen Elizabeth II, comes after Charlie Higgins inspired a 1-0 win away at promotion chasing Avro in midweek.

As for the opposition, Burscough will be desperate for points as they find themselves languishing in the bottom two, two points from safety and 11 points behind the Ravens.

Their recent form also means the Ravens can’t take anything for granted in this game, Burscough have won two and drawn one of their last six, but they have also scored in each of those games, scoring 11 and conceding 12 across their last half-dozen fixtures.
