Cycle 360: Supported Athlete Programme
A sponsored article in association with Cycle 360
Any business can succeed, but what all Manxies know, is that what a company contributes to island life is just as important.
For Cycle 360, playing a positive role in our community has been a key part of their philosophy since day one, especially when it comes to supporting our sports stars to achieve their full potential through their Supported Athlete Programme.
One of the benefactors of this has been Elliot Baxter, one of the Isle of Man’s most successful athletes, who has won over 20 medals at the Island Games, a multiple time Cyclefest, Grand Fondo and island champion.
Elliot said he has been supported by Cycle 360 since the business’ early days, with the best bikes and equipment to represent the brand at local events.
He said: ‘This partnership has proved successful, enabling me to win Cyclefest and the Gran Fondo on multiple occasions.
‘I am grateful for the continued support from Mark, Sacha and the team who have provided me with the best equipment I have ever ridden, as well as top quality sports nutrition.
‘My race bikes are serviced and maintained by the Cycle 360 mechanics, and they always perform perfectly, which is testament to their attention to detail.’
While thankful for the support the Cycle 360 team has given him, Elliot is also immensely grateful for the wider role the business plays in cycling on the island, including working together to run the local mountain bike race scene, their support for cyclists through the free coffee mornings and the range of advice and gear available to lycra-clad islanders.
Plus, as he looks to winding down his racing career, he is already raring to go in the next stage of his relationship with the business.
He said: ‘Cycle 360 has always been a base for me to coach and advise athletes over the years, and with the recent launch of my new business: ‘A Star Cycling’, I look forward to collaborating with Cycle 360 wherever possible as I wind down from racing and look to use my experience to help others reach their full potential.’
