Jamie’s Five-a-Side
The Haslett family continue to work closely with the charity
Next month sees the return of the Jamie Haslett Memorial Football Tournament, which benefits Victim Support.
This event is held each year in memory of Jamie Haslett, who tragically lost his life in 2010.
The Haslett family continue to work closely with the charity to organise the mixed 5-a-side football tournament, which has become a popular community event with Jamie’s friends and family joined by team from across the island.
The event, sponsored by Hansard, will be held at Laxey Football Club between 12.30pm and 6pm on Sunday August 13.
Lorna Trevethan, GM at Victim Support Isle of Man said: ‘This event has a great turnout each year and is a fun family friendly day out. Every year we raise over £1,500 and we are hoping that we will raise a similar amount or more this year and see some new teams sign up to take part.’
If you are interested in registering a team, please contact enquiries@victimsupport.im or call 679950 for more information. The entry fee for each team is £50.
Victim Support Isle of Man is an independent Isle of Man charity (963), which offers free and confidential help to victims and witnesses of crime, their family and friends. The charity continues to see a rise in referrals, receiving one new.
