Man Guilty of Cav Burglary
A second man was found not guilty.
One man has been found guilty of a knifepoint robbery at the Essex home of Manxman Mark Cavendish.
Romario Henry, 31, of Bell Green in Lewisham, south-east London, broke into Cav’s home in Ongar, Essex, in November 2021.
Cav and his wife, Peta, were woken up when the intruders broke into the property in Ongar, Essex, at around 2.30am on November 27 2021.
The trial heard that during the break in, a man punched Cav and threatened the cyclist with a ‘Rambo style’ knife and said he would stab him in front of his family.
Two Richard Mille watches, worth £400,000 and £300,000, were taken in the robbery.
Henry’s fellow accused, Oludewa Okorosobo, was found not guilty by the jury at Chelmsford Crown Court.
