Manxie Sets New British U16s Bench Press Record
Alfie Bezance is an official British record holder.
The Manx equivalent of The Hulk (minus the green tint and destructive rage) recently did an incredible job competing in the U16 British Bench Press Championships.
He not only ended up obliterating the existing record WITH HIS OPENING LIFT #hesjustwarmingup he then went onto immediately break his own new record.
That wasn’t enough for Alfie, who then bagged himself a new personal best with his third lift. However, this was unfortunately disallowed on a technicality (racking the bar too early).
His three fantastic lifts were:
1: 135.5kg (New British Record)
2: 140kg (New NEW British Record)
3: 145.5kg (PB)
And yesterday I struggled to lift the tv remote.
Alfie now turns his Herculean gaze to the European Championships. Watch this space.
