Murphy Sinks 147 on Island

Former world champion Shaun Murphy rounded off a great evening at Douglas Snooker Bar by potting a maximum break.
The 2005 world champion was at the bar for a meet and greet and to play a few exhibition frames against local players.
Bar owner Greg Cowell said Murphy ‘put on an excellent show’.
He added: ‘Great banter, he talked us through his game, awesome Q & A at the end, a maxi’ 147! And he was happy to sign the additional bits for people who had bought items in the auction or won in the raffle. It was a pleasure Shaun and thank you so much.’
Just to make the 147 that much better, Greg said Murphy potted the maximum against the island’s very own Sean Murphy.
He also thanked Vannin Photos for taking time out of his evening to go down to photograph the night and Paul Westhead for doing to mic and being the MC.
