Nino Wins European Bronze

Nino Ontoy has secured a team bronze at the European Poomsae Taekwondo Championship.

The event was held in Innsbruck, Austria, marking the 30th year anniversary celebration of Austria hosting the first ever international poomsae championship in the world.
Around 580 athletes attended the competition and the British Taekwondo Team GB sent A team of 47 athletes, coaches, and support team members from 24 British Taekwondo and only one athlete from the club in the Isle of Man, Manx Taekwondo represented by Nino Ontoy was selected as part of the team.
Nino competed in two categories: Pair under 30 and Team under 30. On his pair category with Natashia Wilson from Central, they are not so lucky since they missed to reach the finals. But on his team category with Maximo Libid from PremierKi and Oluwatimilehin Akinrele from Nomad, they secured bronze medal.
Having medal in the European Championship make Nino so happy because he ended the year as 10 times British Poomsae National Champion and a European Bronze medallist. Hoping for a great success for next year competitions and more sponsorship to achieve his goals.
