Ravens Take Flight

Guess who’s back? Back again…

Fresh from a brilliant 4-1 win over Irlam last Saturday, FC Isle of Man head to basement side Ashton Athletic.

While Ashton look set for relegation, they cannot be underestimated, their last game saw them beat AFC Liverpool 2-0.

The Ravens didn’t come through last week unscathed, with captain Frank Jones going off injured early on and Furo Davies sent off.

However, while they will be a big loss, Sean Doyle’s return will be a boost to the squad after his first comeback was cut short by a hamstring injury last month.

Elsewhere Ben Wilkinson keeps his place in goal, with the young keeper making the number one shirt his one since being parachuted in at short notice when James Rice was injured in warm up against Vauxhall Motors and with Davies and Jones out, Tom Creer returns to the squad and Dean Leece keeps his spot.

Last week saw big performances across the side, a repeat of that and the Ravens should have enough to get the job done on Saturday.
