Rennie (10-0-1) is stepping into the ring with James Moorcroft (19-3) at Bolton’s Tough Sheet Stadium.
He said: ‘I’ve always give it my everything in every camp but every camp seems to get harder and harder but I do feel like I’ve raised my game in every aspect for this one as I know I need to be the best version of myself for Friday night.’
With tonight being the biggest stage of Matty’s pro-career, he said that while he always gives his all to training, he does feel that he’s ‘raised my game in every aspect for this one as I know I need to be the best version of myself for Friday night’.
And despite the temptation to look ahead to next year, the Manxman only has eyes on tonight’s prize.
‘Just win any ways necessarily that’s all that is on my mind not thinking to far ahead as I can’t take my eyes of this one,’ he said.
That bout is being streamed live in 1886 and the Front Porch and makes up part of the undercard for Nathan Gorman v Bohdan Myronets being shown live on Channel 5.
Matty said he isn’t 100% sure what time he is due in the ring, but will post on his socials once he knows.
He added: ‘I’d like to thank everyone who has bought tickets to come support me, as well as all my sponsors: Joe Quinn, Melville Joinery, Elite Tickets, Affinity Group, 1886 Bar & Grill, Davies Construction, DAO Racing, Optimal Performance, Fuelled by Webb.’
