Simo’s Back as Ravens Head to Cheshire

Dan Simpson provides a welcome boost to FC Isle of Man this weekend as he returns for the Ravens trip to Winsford United.

Interim boss Paul Jones’ side head to the Chesire to face the side sat just two places above them in the NWCFL Premier Division.

Looking across the team, as well as the returning Simo, Morgan Naylor, whose only appearance this season came in October against vs Burscough, is in the squad, as is Phil Kelly, fresh off scoring a cliche ridden screamer for Corinthians last week.

In midfield, Simo will add extra options out wide alongside Charlie Higgins and Ste Whitley, while Jones will be hoping Tiernan Garvey can pull another masterclass out of his bag with no sign of Mikey Williams to add some steel in the middle of the park.

Up top Luke Murray has recovered from the illness that ruled him out just before kickoff last week, joined by the exciting youngster Tom Creer.

In a squad made up of youth and experience, there are some noticeable absences, not least Sam Caine, Chris Bass Jnr, Sean Quaye and Pecker who all turned out for St George’s last weekend as Geordies seek to fight off relegation from the Canada Life Premier League.
