Town to Stream World Cup

With the Rugby World Cup kicking off next week, Castletown Commissioners have teamed up with Bushy’s to stream the tournament in the town.
The home nations and knock out games on the massive ‘Bushyvision’ screen in Market Square, following on from the massive success of the Women’s World Cup final being shown live.
The local authority said: ‘We’ve got some amazing live music performances lined up, featuring Mad Daddy and The MotherFunkers who unfortunately didn’t get the chance to perform as planned during S100 week before the England Argentina game on Saturday September 9.
‘More details regarding timings are on their way, so stay tuned we will be kicking off with the opening game on Friday September 8.’
The Commissioners hope to be joined by the Trainsmokers for the games but are also wary of the Manx weather playing its part.
It said: ‘We are not under any illusions that a two month event may be impacted by the Manx Weather so we will try and make a firm decision at the start of the each week if the weather looks like it may affect play.’
The local authority also thanked ELS for its assistance in organising the event.
