Manxman Turns Back
The 2.15pm sailing from Heysham has been cancelled.
The Manxmnan is returning to Douglas following a technical issue.
Having been running behind schedule due to an issue, the Steam Packet’s flagship has turned round.
The 2.15pm sailing from Heysham has been cancelled.
Earlier today Manx Radio reported that she was ‘travelling at reduced speed whilst the crew investigate a technical issue with the propulsion system’.
Having left the island at 9.05am, Manxman was running behind schedule anyway and will be back in Douglas later this afternoon.
Among those on board was junior hockey players who were meant to be playing off-island. The Manx Hockey Association said a mixture of teams from u14 to u18 were due to be playing.
