Sailings Cancelled – Others At Risk

The Steam Packet has cancelled two sailings today (Wednesday).

This morning’s 8am Manxman sailing to Heysham and its 1.30pm return were scrapped this morning.

Citing ‘forecast adverse weather’, passengers are now being asked to amend their bookings or contact the reservations team.

The Steam Packet has also warned that four other sailings today and tomorrow could be cancelled or disrupted.

Tonight’s 7.45pm sailing to Heysham and its 2.15am overnight return are both under threat, as well as the Manxman’s 8.45am sailing tomorrow and the 2.15pm return.

A decision will be made at 5.30pm for tonight’s crossings, and 7am tomorrow for Thursday’s sailings.

It comes as strong winds are expected today and tomorrow.

The eagle-eyed forecasters at Ronaldsway Met Office say gusts of up to 50mph can be expected in places on the island.
