Manxman Sailing Delayed
It’s a classic Manx weather tale – wind, drizzle, and just a touch of chaos at sea.
The Steam Packet has delayed tonight’s Manxman sailing from Liverpool because of the gusty conditions brewing over Douglas.
Instead of the planned 8.15pm departure, the boat will now be chugging out of Merseyside at 9.15pm, meaning passengers can expect a rather bleary-eyed arrival into Douglas at 2am tomorrow. Perfect for those who enjoy a bit of late-night nautical drama.
Passengers, take note: check-in is sharp at 8.30pm—no snoozing in the new lounge or you might miss the boat (literally).
Meanwhile, the Ronaldsway Met Office says tonight’s weather will serve up fresh to strong southerly winds, with near-gale force gusts in some spots.
Rain will make a guest appearance overnight, heavy at times but clearing up by dawn. Lovely.
Keep an eye on the Steam Packet’s website for updates. If you’re onboard, maybe pack a flask and a book—it’s going to be a long night!
