Steam Packet Plots Plan B for Liverpool Title Parade

Manx Liverpool fans hoping to soak up the title celebrations on Bank Holiday Monday might still have a chance, after the Steam Packet Company said it’s working on a plan B.

With daytrip tickets on the Manannan selling out fast for Monday, May 26, the Steam Packet has teamed up with UK travel partners to try and get fans over for the Premier League victory parade.

The new option would see fans sail to Liverpool at 7am on the Monday, enjoy the open-top bus party through the city, then hop on a coach on the Long and Winding Road to Heysham in time for the 2:15am Manxman sailing back to Douglas early Tuesday. Easy as that!

The company said: ‘We hear you. Demand was huge. We’re working on a solution so you can still enjoy the day celebrating Liverpool’s success!’

Reds fans keen on the plan can register their interest online HERE.

There’s also still space on the return Liverpool sailings at 8:30am and 5:30pm on Tuesday, May 27.

More than 750,000 fans are expected to descend on Liverpool to mark the club’s 20th league title – and the Manx faithful don’t want to miss the party.

And don’t worry Blues, teleportation technology may be available when it’s your turn to celebrate… (sorry!)
