Three Flights on Time All Day

Just 20% of flights departed on time on Monday, with some passengers delayed by up to three hours.

The airport’s latest daily figures show 15 flights were scheduled to depart yesterday.

Two flights were cancelled early in the day, the Loganair London City and easyJet Liverpool flight, due to staff sickness.

Of the other flights, the top reasons for delay were: Adjusted inbound arrival to avoid ATC closure; Operational delays; and Late inbound aircraft.

With 1,006 passengers departing Ronaldsway, four flight were delayed by up to 30 minutes, three were delayed by up to an hour, two were delayed by up to two hours and one was delayed by up to three hours.

The airport said: ‘Yesterday, our operations faced disruptions with two flight cancellations due to crew sickness.  We understand delays and cancellations are inconvenient, and encourage affected passengers to contact their respective airlines for further information. ‘
