After a solid TT debut, Manxman Ryan Cringle has been named RST’s Star of Tomorrow.

The clothing maker’s senior director presented Ryan with the trophy at the end of the fortnight.

It was certainly an eventful TT for Ryan who issued an SOS to fans to help him source a new bike after his Superbike suffered an engine fault in qualifying.

At the end of the week, Ryan finished five of the six races he entered, including a 20th place finish in the Senior, coming away with a replica in each race.

Awarding Ryan with the trophy, RST’s Stuart Millington said: ‘We are very proud of our association with the Isle of Man TT as their Official Safety Partner. This annual award was created years ago to recognise and support a rider in the early stages of their career.

‘Ryan has performed brilliantly throughout the whole meeting and we think he has a very bright future.’

Speaking of his award, Ryan said it was the ‘icing on the cake’ for his debut year.

He added: ‘Thank you to everyone who stood by my side throughout the fortnight it really wouldn’t have been possible without you all. Last but not least a massive thank you to all the unsung heroes from the marshals to the medics to the people running the show thank you all for letting us play on our bikes.’
