A banner pinched from Duke’s TT Village on Senior Race Saturday has been returned.

The banner commemorating Peter Hickman’s first 135mph lap was taken shortly after the race.

After police released pictures of people they wanted to speak to about the theft, it has since been returned.

The Police said: ‘Power of social media strikes again. It would appear after becoming quite the media sensation, someone’s guilty conscience prevailed and said stolen banner has been returned to its rightful owners in one piece. Three happy chappies indeed.’
