The road will be closed between 9.30am and 4.30pm
The Mountain Road will be closed between 9.30am and 4.30pm today.
This is to allow the DoI to return the road to two-way traffic after the TT fortnight.
As the police said: ‘This is the final sign that this years TT is over as we all get back to our normal lives.’
First introduced in 2007 for the TT Centenary year, the one-way running of the Mountain has been a contributing factor in improve safety on the course for residents and visitors.
While the road was closed several times throughout the fortnight this year, there were no reported deaths on the roads during the festival.
