Another 80s classic. There’s something about films and music made in the 80s that just hits right when it comes to Christmas. ‘Gremlins’ toys (yes, it was intended) with the two main tropes of Christmas films. The first: Family friendly comedy. The second: Horror. Which, coincidentally, is a feeling that often emerges after spending an extensive amount of time with family at Christmas.

The story is about a boy who’s incapable of following basic instructions. If you happen to get a Gremlin from Santa this year, just remember:

• Make sure they’re never dry
• ALWAYS keep them in bright light
• And NEVER don’t feed them after midnight

Otherwise there will be Christmas chaos to answer for.
