The chippy had previously faced a battle to secure insurance
Peel Fisheries will be launching its delivery offerings next week after being able to secure vehicle insurance.
We previously reported that David Matthews, who owns Peel Fisheries Chippy, Cod And Castle and Quayside Fish & Chips, had been unable to secure insurance to offer deliveries to the west of the island.
However, after months of emails and phone calls with insurance companies and MHKs, he was finally able to secure insurance on December 1.
Having taken Christmas to iron out some details, deliveries will be available from January 3. If you live out west, you’ll be able to order and pay online and have it delivered to your door.
Until then, the order (https://peelfisheries.touchtakeaway.net/menu) system is collection only.
For those of you who don’t live in the west, New Cod on the Block and the Terrace Chippy while chippies across the island fulfil all your CCG needs.
