Three charities will split a pot of just over £2,200 raised from an open day at Peel Fire Station.

The Fire Fighters’ Charity, Manx Breast Cancer Support and the Peel Coal Fund will share the money.

Held on Sunday, the open day saw people able to tour the fire house, see the toys in action and enjoy stalls, games, a raffle and chat to fire fighters, paramedics and the Coastguard.

The Fire Service said: ‘A huge thank you to everyone who came down and supported Peel Fire Station’s open day yesterday.

‘It was great to see so many people there and fantastic to have our colleagues from the Ambulance and Coastguard Services too, showing us the different ways they keep us all safe.’
