Airport Departure Lounge Gets Much Needed Glow-Up

If you’ve ever found yourself doing laps around Isle of Man Airport’s departure lounge looking for a seat – fear not, help could be on the way!

Work kicks off next week (March 10) as part of a multi-phase upgrade that will run until mid-April 2025. The first three phases include:

New seating and workspaces – High-top work bars with charging points, table seating, and more designated areas for passengers with reduced mobility. A total of 131 seats will be available across the Costa and new bar zones.

A bigger Costa Coffee – The existing bar area will be converted into an expanded Costa zone, meaning more coffee machines, tills, and panini stations.

A brand-new bar – The current Costa space will transform into a swanky new bar, serving locally sourced beverages and snacks. So, whether you need a flat white or a pre-flight pint, you’re covered.

Infrastructure Minister Dr. Michelle Haywood has backed the changes, while Interim Airport Director Geoff Pugh says the upgrades are part of a wider plan to improve the airport experience.
