Ramsey Commissioner Lamara Craine has issued an important public service announcement: it’s time to trim your bush.

Yes, you read that right.

With the growing season approaching and summer just around the corner, Commissioner Craine has launched ‘Bush Watch’ – an initiative to ensure that unkempt shrubbery doesn’t start making a nuisance of itself in public spaces.

And, if you’re giggling, don’t worry – so are we.

According to Lamara, overgrown bushes are a frequent complaint in Ramsey, and it’s high time residents take matters into their own hands.

So, if your bush is looking a little wild, overgrown, or just in need of a good tidy-up, now’s the perfect time to take some clippers to it before bird nesting season starts on March 1st.

For those unsure whether their bush is a public menace, she suggests a quick test: if it’s flapping about in the wind, creeping onto the pavement, or causing innocent passers-by to duck, weave, or perform an unintentional game of hedge limbo, it’s time for a trim.

Bush neglect is no joke, folks.

While we all appreciate a bit of natural beauty, there’s a fine line between ‘charmingly overgrown’ and ‘dangerous jungle’.

No one wants to be the poor soul who ends up with a face full of unexpected foliage while on their morning stroll.
