Free Beer and Festive Cheer!

Published

Get ready, Douglas – Christmas is officially here, and it’s arriving on a tractor.

That’s right, tonight’s the night for Okell’s St Nick’s Ale unveiling, complete with festive vibes, free beer, and a bit of seasonal chaos.

This year, the jolly bash has shuffled its way down to The British Pub on North Quay, leaving behind last year’s haunt at The Prospect and its previous roots at the Woodbourne.

But don’t worry, the important part stays the same – free pints.

St Nick will be making a grand entrance at 6pm, riding in style on a lit-up festive tractor, courtesy of the Isle of Man Young Farmers.

Once he parks up (hopefully with minimal three-point turns), the beer will start flowing.

Okell’s head brewer, Kevin Holmes, is buzzing to share the Christmas brew: ‘St Nick’s Ale combines rich malt, caramel, and seasonal fruit.

‘I can’t wait to raise a pint with everyone at The British!”

Expect large crowds, musical cheer from the Manx Youth Band and Manx Concert Brass, and some serious festive vibes.

And while you’re enjoying your complimentary pint (or two), don’t forget to drop a few coins in the charity buckets for the Isle of Man Young Farmers and the bands adding the sparkle to your evening.

So, dig out your best Christmas jumper, head down to The British, and prepare for an evening of festive fun. Cheers!
