Gef’s What’s On Guide: Singo Bingo & Rum Fun
Hospitality Daiquris with Outlier & Kiki Lounge
*ONLY for hospitality workers so don’t be crashing.
When: Sunday, 21 January
Where: Kiki Lounge
Time: 5pm-10pm (get a welcome drink if you arrive before 7pm)
This is lovely. Outlier and Kikis are teaming up to celebrate local hospitality workers for surviving the Christmas chaos manning the bars. So, if you’re a hospitality worker who survived Christmas – RIP those who are still recovering – you’re invited to try some Outlier rum “samples” and maybe even partake in a little a speed daiquiri competition. I don’t know what that is but it sounds FUN. They’re also going to have a Punch Pong table. All the fun of the fair!

Singo Bingo
*Never has there been a better combination than singing and Bingo. Except maybe McDonalds and Douglas Head.
When: Saturday, 20 January
Where: South Douglas Old Friends Association
Time: 8pm
Tickets: £15 – Message the Facebook page to reserve a spot
A musical twist on the classic bingo experience. AND. There are CASH PRIZES. CASH. PRIZES.

*Do it just for the pun. It’s excellent.
When: Saturday, 20 January
Where: Colden Plantation
Time: 11am-3pm
Tickets: £10 per person – courtesy transport is available on request.
Join Walking Mann this Saturday as they climb to the summit of Slieau Lhoist. Deets on the route shall be sent to you via owl. If they don’t make it to you then you can also find them on their Facebook page.

Coastline & Crosses
* I assume this is like some sort of human walking naughts and crosses.
When: Sunday, 21 January
Where: Meet near Church in Maughold
Time: 11am
Price: £10 – payable at start of walk. Contact 07624 394594 to reserve a spot.
The plan is to follow coastal footpath, tracks and minor lanes on this circular walk around Maughold.
Distance is 5-6miles and will take about 3 hours. Minimal clothing and flip flops are not recommended. Instead, wear warm clothing, a waterproof jacket, and sturdy boots or shoes.
BRING SNACKS AND A DRINK. Probably not alcoholic. It’s a Sunday morning. Let’s not make it awkward for the rest of the group.

Manx Philosophers Reading Group
*A chance to blow your mind without taking drugs.
When: Saturday, 20 January
Where: HOPS
Time: 3pm
Tickets: FREE. But at what cost?
Free, open, and fun! Time to tackle Free Will through a series of readings at Hops. This week the group’s talking about Davidson’s article “Action, Reasons, and Causes”. It’ll be like going to Carrefour Gym and using that thigh clencher machine thing. BUT FOR YOUR BRAIN.

And if none of these appeal, I hear Juan is having a ‘Dress Like Your Favourite Currency’ party on Saturday night that’s going to off. Start time 2am.
