Officers to Assist Met with Queen’s Funeral
This follows a request from the Met to forces across the British Isles.
Chief Constable Gary Roberts has authorised the deployment of five officers to support the policing of the Queen’s funeral in London.

Mutual aid Police officers are deployed in London, under the command and control of the Metropolitan Police, to keep people safe as part of UK policing’s response to the death of The Queen.
The Manx officers will be sworn in as UK Police Constables which will give them powers to undertake their duties in London and will be deployed to assist with general policing and ceremonial duties.
While the island’s Constabulary had originally said 15 officers were due to travel, this has been updated and the other 10 officers who had been notified to travel later in the week have been stood down at this time.
