Ramsey’s Street Signs Up for Adoption – Yours for £25

Ever wanted to own a genuine bit of Ramsey? Well, now’s your chance.

Ramsey Town Commissioners are flogging off their old street name plates, and for just £25 you can take one home to hang on your wall, stick in the garden or just use as the ultimate conversation starter down the Traf.

These aren’t knock-offs either, they’re the proper, battered, weather-beaten signs that have actually done the job of telling lost tourists (and folk from Port Erin) where they are.

Each one comes with a bit of history (and possibly the faint smell of sea air).

All the cash raised will be handed to a local charity, personally chosen by chairman Alby Oldham.

But there’s a catch: it’s first come, first served, so once they’re gone, that’s it.

So if you’ve always wanted your front room to look like Parliament Square or fancied a bathroom called ‘Westlands Close’, now’s your chance.
