Fire crews from Douglas have provided oxygen therapy to two people and a dog following a call out earlier today.

Crews were called to a house following reports of a smoke logged property.

On arrival crews ascertained everybody was out of the property and then quickly established that the cause of the smoke was burnt food.

The fire service said: ‘Two persons were given oxygen therapy at the scene by Firefighters until paramedics arrived. One of our latest recruits Firefighter Grady gave a dog named ‘Milo’ Oxygen therapy! Not something he thought he would be doing today when he came on shift this morning!

‘We are recruiting on-call firefighters soon! Keep an eye out on the Facebook page for recruitment updates!’
